Hormone Replacement

I was taken off of my Estrogen last month (January). I was taken it since 1995. I was so use to giving myself a shot every three weeks and now nothing. I am having Hot Flashes, Night Sweats and I am just plain hot all the time. The doctor put me on Black Cohosh Root and I take 3 pills a day.

My other problem is - I also have Crohn's Disease and so I don't absorb pills too good. I am thinking the pills aren't getting to my system so I am getting the Hot Flashes more then I should.

My question to ya'll is - What do ya'll take when ya'll can't take Estrogen?

I am open to any suggestion's.
