New pain, virus hitting our house, scared

Hi all. Just needed to get this off my chest. The past two days I have had a pain different from before. Not on my period, which is also not the norm-usually only have pain during it. I was supposed to go to my Dr. today for my pre-op visit and was going to talk to him about it, but my DD has been home with a weird virus that has been hitting all of the schools in our area. DH is at the hospital with his DS who is having knee surgery today, so I had to reschedule my appt. Plus I am worried that I will end up with the virus, and my surgery is scheduled for next Thursday. It is a blessing to be able to read the advice and messages of support here-it has been getting me through the past few days. You ladies are the best!!!

(((Angi))),

Sorry things aren't going as planned. It sounds like it is a little hectic at your house. The only advice I have to give is to try to relax. Stress is terrible for your immune system, not to mention your mood (well, for me anyway :hair: ). Take this time to kick your feet up with your DD, maybe across the room from each other , and think "quality time together before my big day." Focus on her pain instead of yours. That is what we have been doing at our house: DD has a cold that is triggering her asthma. Also, I have been thankful that she is sick now and not post-op when I can't really care for her. Hope this helps! Best wishes to all of your family!
