LAHV March 29th

I have a few question's about my pre-op appt. What kind of test do they run. Will I get and MRI and X-ray or anything like that or just blood work? I will only have one more period in about a week. My last one was 10 days long. The pain drives me so crazy. I have endo on the cul-de-sac and a retroverted uterous. Very painful intercourse. I just want the pain to go away. I hope that I am making the right decision. I am 30 two kids and had a tubal back in 97. I don't want anymore kids. I had 2 abnormal paps, something showed up white on my cervix through the papsure test. They did a copolscopy and found nothing. They wanted me to repeat it in 3 months. That was 2 months ago. My mom had cancer of the uterous when she delivered me 30 years ago. They gave her a hysterectomy. She was fine after that. How do they know if you have cancer of the uterous? I had a scare back in July with a breast lump. The mamogram showed cancer or inflamation. Luckily it wasn't cancer. It was fibrocystic breast changes. I am so scared. This will be my 3rd surgery in 6 months, The breast removal, the laproscopy for endo, and now the hysterectomy. I just want to feel good again. I have no energy, my hands and feet are cold all the time, I have been getting dizzy spells for a couple months now. The dr did a thyroid test and it came back fine. I just wonder if I'm missing something here. Sorry to ramble on. Thanks for your help. April

(((April))), my goodness you're been through a lot lately. Pre op wasn't bad at all for me. I had to answer a lot questions, talk to the dr and anesthesiologist, blood work, chest x-rays and an EKG. Yours will be what ever your dr ordered for you. Some ladies have only had blood work , others have other tests.
Just try to relax a little while you wait, waiting makes most of us nervous. You'll read here often that waiting is the hardest part (it was for me).
