3 weeks post-bleeding,bleeding,bleeding!!!

Hi sisters,

I am 3 weeks post-op and 4 days ago I started bleeding bright red for about 2 hours-I was saturating a pad every 15 minutes! I laid down and put my feet up and it slowed down. Ever since then I have been bleeding but not that much (down to a pantiliner) but a couple times a day I feel a gush of blood that totally saturates the bad immediately. Then is slows down.I also have been having severe cramps just like I did when I had those horrible periods. I have called the doctor's office and all they keep telling me is to take it easy and to call if I start bleeding heavily (a pad an hour). This is so frustrating. I feel like this is serious and the doctor seem so non-chalant (sp?) about it! On top of all this I suffer from anxiety attacks and they have been worse since I had the surgery. I feel so depressed like I am never going to get my life back. The minute I wake up in the morning the anxiety starts because I am worried that I will be having a painful day which I usually do. I called my GP and he is going to see me today for the anxiety maybe I need something stronger than Xanax. Will I ever be myself again?

((((((Tammy))))))))

Oh sweetie things will get better but in the mean time call the dr and tell no insist that he see you that you are worried and want to be seen. That is why you paid him so much darn money. If he wont see you go to the ER and then when you get home registar a complaint with the medical board in your area. I do hope you feel better real soon. come to chat it really helps alot. IM me if you want my aim name is carterclogs.

Take care

Christine

3 weeks post-bleeding,bleeding,bleeding!!!

Hi Tammy,
I had a LAVH and was spotting just a little bit until about 3 weeks post op when I started bleeding (not spotting) bright red blood (I was still able to wear a panty liner). I thought for sure I was headed back to the Dr. I called the office and they told me not to worry. Within 3 days I completely stopped bleeding and spotting, haven't had to wear anything since. I will be 6 weeks post op on Thursday.

Good luck!

I too think you should call your Dr. It may not be anything to worry about, but any bleeding could be a sign of something and it's always best to be safe than sorry. It could be nothing you know. But that is why our Dr.s are there..Let us know what you find out.
