Getting real help

I have done some (suicidal) things which have frightened my husband & now after being seen by a few "head" doctors, I am going to a psychiatrist tomorrow. They had to pull a lot of strings to get me this appointment. It's supposed to snow hard right at my appointment time. Pray I make it. I am a mess & don't know why. I hope that the snow doesn't keep you away. We will be thinking about you and looking forward to a post when you are feeling up to it. I will continue to pray for you and your family. (((Kerry))) I am glad you posted tonight. I've been wondering how you have been doing lately. It's so good to hear that you have an appointment with the psychiatrist. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the weather doesn't prevent you from keeping the appointment.

I'm glad you are being taken seriously now. I'm sure your DH loves you very much and yes, it would frighten him if he thought of losing you. We don't want to lose you either, sweetie, we you! Please keep us posted about your appointment and how you are feeling, OK?

Well, after braving the snow & pouring out my soul to a stranger; they THEN inform me that insurance doesn't cover at this place! I am disgusted & angry! Why not just hand me a gun & let me get it over with!? Why bring me out & have me bare my soul to yet another stranger to have them say ay the end "By the way, we don't take your insurance!" Tell me that at the begining!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh (((Kerry))) what a big disappointment! How can they let that happen? You shouldn't have to pay for that visit, but that's not even the issue... as you said, it's that you trusted someone and told them your troubles and THEN they gave you the news about the insurance. Awful!

Please don't let this discourage you too much though. Try to shake it off and keep going, till you find the right person to help you. You mean so much to us, sweetie, we want you to get better

Insurances can be so awful sometimes and so can office managers. I have found where my DR and therapist are (they are covered by my insurance) that the office manager is ONLY concerned about the bottom line. My DR's even gone head to head with her!

Anyway, check into the type of insurance you have & find out from them who WOULD be covered. Or, maybe your DR can suggest someone that would be covered by your insurance.
