Great news!
I had my one week check up with the gyn onc today and there is no sign of cancer in the lymph nodes!! Yippee!! I will still have to have pap smears every 3 months for 2 years then every 6 months but if nothing shows up after 5 years I am considered cured. There is a 95% cure rate, so going in every 3 months will be worth it compared to having to have radiation treatments.
He took out my staples and ahhh, the stinging is gone. Still very sore, really have a swelly belly this time that is very tender. Guess when you have surgery twice in 6 weeks it could be a bit more sore the second time. No real deep pain though like the first time and no bladder problems or bad gas pains like the first time. He did not do an internal and I didn't ask him too, would rather have my gyn who did the hyst do that and she wouldn't do it last week so close to surgery (said she wouldn't ok me for sex at 6 weeks anyway).
I got a script for Estradiol but when I was reading the info about it I had forgotten all about not being able to take some hrt's if you have a history of blood clots with estrogen..... which I do. 23 years ago had a superficial blood clot while on the pill. Hopefully since the pill doses were so huge back then, it won't be a problem now. Will call my gyn in am and also see about getting an appt for an internal exam. I will still need to be released for work and for sex. Hopefully I will feel ok for at least half time at four weeks from the second surgery, it will be 10 weeks from the first by then. My anemia could slow all that down.
Thanks for all of your support and prayers through all this, especially having to have a second surgery.
Hugs,
Linda >^..^<
