6 week check-internal?

I have my six week checkup tomorrow (5 days early).
Will the Dr do an internal? Will I look like a big empty cave?
Will I get the OK for sex? What if i haven't lost any internal stitches (none have come out yet) will she take them out?
I'm so happy my dr is female, she had this operation last year and so when I went to see her the first time she booked my TAH. No wait.
Please someone help me figure out what is going to happen tomorrow.
Will the internal hurt?
Thanks for all the advise. I'd be a mess if it wasn't for this website.

6 week check-internal?

lor.
I went last night(am 5 weks today) he did an internal(as he did 2 weeks ao also) didn't hurt except a tiny twinge when he pushed On my belly (not inside & much better yesterday then 2 weeks ago ,too)... he said all was well, no fluid pockets(don't know what kind there would be, YUCK) he said stitches are gone some,...(I have only seen 1 and 1/2 come out.. I think they dissolve.and to wait 1 more week for intercourse then have fun.. he said I might have some bleeding afterwards, but it shouldn't be alot if I do..he even drew me a pic of what it looks like inside now...LOL
Hope this helped a little.

6 week check-up

Tomorrow is my 6 week check-up, and I am a little nervous too. I got a call from my boss yesterday about returning to work on Thursday. He sounded desperate, then I started feeling guilty about being gone so long. I told him that I would call him as soon as I left the and let him know the outcome.
Like I said, I feel guilty but I am not stupid....my job has very long days (at least 12 hours with driving) and is physical so I am not going to jump right back in.

My problem is that I am still so tired that all I want to do is all day. Can't imagine driving 4 to 6 hours a day right now. I am really going to tell the what my job is so that we can decide if I can possibly do this right now.

Hope the boss doesn't get :mad at me but I told him that if I don't heal right I would be off again.

My DH doesn't think that I am ready and doesn't want me to go back yet--he also said that when I do I can't lift my big bag that weighs in at apx. 50 pounds. Hope the gives us the go ahead tomorrow for some fun.

6 week check-internal?

I had a TAH and had an internal at 1-1/2 weeks post and also at 6 weeks. The earlier one didn't hurt as much I as thought it would. It was just slightly uncomfortable. Having a small catheter inserted the same day for a urine test was worse, and even that was just some burning. My 6 week internal felt like any previous yearly internals I have had. I saw my first stitch come out a day or so after my 6 week check-up. I was already cleared to resume all pre-op activities by then. It was a little surprising to see them show up so late, but my DR did tell me that she used 60 day dissolving. The best thing to do is take a deep breath and relax. The more tense you are the more it probably will be uncomfortable. I'd say, don't worry a bit about it. You'll be fine.

...and the HysterSisters come through again!

I've got my 6 week tomorrow (2/10 surg date), and was just thinking...(I wonder what that exam will be like???)...and lo and behold, here's the answer! I think there must be a Hystersister mind scope inserted in me somehow, because through this whole process from pre- to post-, someone somewhere is always posting just what I was wondering. I feel so much more "normal" knowing I am not the only one going through this. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

6 week check-internal?

At 5 weeks I had an internal manual exam (no speculum). Some do use the speculum though. Did not hurt a bit.

Recommend you take a list of questions...like when can I resume sex/excercise/work?
