Severe Pain
I am 3 1/2 weeks post op from TAH/BSO and have the most terrible joint and bone pain. The pain can be so severe in my legs (knees, hips and ankles) that it is almost impossible to walk or stand. Now the pains are also coming in my wrists, elbows and shoulders. Anyone else with this pain and what can I do about it? I am on Premarin 1.25 (and then 2.50 every other day) and Estratest. Any suggestions?

ouch!
Hi! I'm so sorry you're in so much pain....it can't be helping with your recovery.
I have heard stories that as anesthesia wears off, it can leave you in painful ways, but this is odd. Have you spoken to your doctor? I would certainly give a call and let them know what's going on. Wish I could be more help. Have you ever had this pain before? please take care, and let us know what happens.

Severe Pain
Thanks for your response, but no, I have never had this type of pain before. I haven't called the doctor yet, hate to be a pain in the butt, but I think I will call him if it doesn't improve by tomorrow. Do you think this could be a blood clot issue. Does a blood clot cause pain only in one area or can it cause pain all over?

pain
I had (and still have) pain in my bones and also muscles (or nerves) when I was about 4 weeks post-op, I started having my hands go to sleep at night. I have been told it is Carpal tunnel. I never had this problem before, and I am not on hormones (due to cancer). I have a doctors appt Friday to discuss these issues. I am tired of feeling bad! I was told I'd feel better! Hope your gets better.

I have a friend who was having terrible pain in her joints and bones. It turned out when she wenty to her gyn she had a terrible bladder infection that had caused inflamation in all of her joints. Please call your dr. and let him know what it up. You don't want to take any chances.
Take care and call the Dr.
