West Midlands & 6 days to go

just to say Hi from Tamworth in Staffs and hope your recovery is going well,I'm just over 12months into my post op period (It goes so fast so make the most of being pampered at every oppurtunity!!) Its the best thing i ever did (although i did wonder why on earth i'd done it at the time )I now have my life back and apart from a bit of weight gain and a few Hot flushes it feels great to be free of the dreaded monthly !!Take care of yourself and rest as much as you can it takes a long time to get fully normal again even if you feel ok i can guarantee you that you're not (i overdid it on many occasions and decided in the end to just let my body tell me when i was fit and not my brain , boredom does strange things to your mind !! LOL

Hello Jo

I just looked at the Europe forum as we girls from the UK seem to be quiet on the posts at the moment - and I noticed your message about sisters with similar op dates. How are you getting on with your recovery? My TAH was on 31 March & I've been doing ok apart from a few minor problems at the beginning & swelly belly now. I'm still off work but due to go back at the end of this month, so my stress levels will start going up again then - have you returned to work yet? I'm just so glad that we're not in the States otherwise we wouldn't get so long off, would we? Hope you are ok anyway

Helen
