please pray for a single mom with ovarian cancer

Hello first time here but sure glad this place is here, I am 9 days post op and my dear friend wanda who is sicker than me is 5 days post op. She is 40 yrs old single mom with two daughters 12 and 6. Lat October what was sopposed to be a routine hysterectomy ended up being a something much worse. They found a cyst on her ovary which turned out to be cancer and the Dr's were unable to remove her uterus due to it being so adhered to her bowel. She has under gone 6 chemo treatments so far( just two weeks ago she was hospitilized for complications pnemina (sp)!? and needed 3 pints of blood. the specialist then made a decision to attempt to remove the uterus so on March 14th,03 they tried unsuccessfully. It was too complicated and rather risk her bleeding to death on the table they just closed her back up. Her spirit was so strong in the beginning she is a devoted christian and has totally given her life for god. But in just talking to her last night,,,her hope is fading,,,she sounds more tired and exhausted. She is still focused on the Lord. They told her the chemo is working (abit). She has 4 more treatments to go she has lost all her hair and her spirit is tired. Please pray for her. I think my own recovery is hard until I think of what she is going through.....F.R.O.G (fully rely on god)

Praying for your Friend

I'm not a single mom but I'm almost a two year survivor of ovarian cancer. I will add your friend to my prayer list. It's a tough fight and I hope she keeps up with the chemo.

I have put your friend and her two daughters on my prayer list. I am also praying for your healing. Be sure and rest, drink, eat, and walk a little. Take care of yourself.

I too will be praying for your friend. If she has computer access, you should tell her to visit the cancer concerns forum on hyster sisters. We are a great group over there and would offer her much encouragement and hugs.
Best wishes for your own continued recovery.

You are such a good friend to bring her request here, I can tell from your post you are very worried about her. Don't you fret God has everything under control dear, your dear friend is under the wings of the Almighty and He will have to be her strength right now. God sends special people in our lives for purposes so I also pray that He will give you encouraging words to give her.

I also agree with Karenann, if she has a computer the Cancer Concern forum might help her with support and concerns about what she is going through. I know the hyst support was marvelous and just knowing you are not alone is a sweet comfort in itself.

s and ers to you for a steady recovery too!

As the other posters so far have said, God has a plan for all of us. She needs to keep her faith and rest in the arms of the All Mighty. If the doctors are saying that the chemo is working then they have signs that show them that it is. Help her keep her faith and all things will pass. I also pray for her children and I pray for you to be strong for her. Also take care of yourself so that you don't over tire yourself and have complications on your road to recovery. Hugs to you and all the wonderful sisters on this site.
