Boy...the ole belly
I also have uterine and bladder prolapse (i found out today grade 3 cystocele AND rectocele with probable bowel prolapse also) and I have lost 17 lbs in the past two months but my pants have stayed the same size cause of the dreaded evil swelly belly!aaaaaaargh!
My DR. told me that it will be less swollen in the morning and more swollen at night. Is this the case with you? He said that its most probably due to the pressure put on the deteriorated pelvic floor, muscles, ligaments...and whatnot, that happens naturally through gravity throughout the day. The body's natural reaction to this is swelling. This seems to have held true for me. If I lie down for 20 min a few times a day it seems to be better, not just that night but for some of the next day also. If your belly doesnt seem to be going up and down, so to speak, but staying the same size or just getting increasingly larger, you should probably bring it up to your DR. as soon as you can. This is something he should know, and be sure to explain about your normal size in comparison...lol...cause like my doc said, he wouldnt know it was an abnormal size for me....he dont live with me!..Hehe....I'm likin my new doc alot....hes kinda sassy!
I dont know much about liver enzymes...but I seem to recall a friend a few years back that had hepatitis (c...I think) and her belly was very bloated, but she had been in the hopital when I saw her, getting tests so I'm not sure if it was from the liver issues or from the tests they had run. But you might be getting a double whammy, swollen from both problems.
Ladies? anyone else know anything about liver enzymes and swelling?
Hope this is some help.. Calinda
