How Much Longer

I had my vaginal hysterectomy on 11.03.2003 and I am find my thought wondering more and more to having sex with my husband. The Doctor said another4 weeks, any tips anyone to help me get past the next month.

I know it's difficult, but please wait the 6 to 8 wks to be cleared from your dr for intercourse. You don't want to risk infection or injury, and set back your healing. Suggestions? Just being close without penetration of the vagina, you can use your imagination

Yep! Marta is right. You have to wait until you're cleared. Sex wasn't a big issue with me prior to my surgery, but Geeez, it drove me crazy when I knew that I couldn't for six weeks! It might help to know, that in my case, it's better than ever! It was worth the wait. Outercourse can be fun and satisfying too you know. Like she said, use your imagination.

Thanks for your help, Sex was never the be all and end all with me but since my operation I feel so good and my husband walks around with a permanant smile on his face, because he thinks he is now married to a nympho! Dont worry girls I'll wait for the all clear.
