Wish I could say that for real!
I was definitely NOT OP yesterday. That first day back to work is such a shock. Here's hope for a better day today.

Hi gang --
I'm BACK! And I am surrounded by mountains of laundry, the bathroom remodeling job that was promised to be finished is NOT, and I have company coming Sunday for a week before our next tournament which we are the organizers of..........life is a little crazy at the moment.
I was NOT OP in Texas, but I sure didn't gain any weight........I :run3: so much that I don't think it mattered what I ate..........and I didn't eat that much anyway.........didn't have time. Don't know why the meals they feed us at these things have to be so off my low/fat plan..........but I kept my portions down and there was no opportunity to snack and I was climbing in & out of boats, lugging tackle boxes, actually got to go two days so I don't think the lack of my usual exercise routine mattered much. And I'm taking today off from the gym I'm just too darned tired and got too much to do to catch up (those 3:30 a.m. mornings during the tournament really get to me). Actually I think I lost weight........I have a pair of size 8 jeans that were tighter when I left.........they've been my "goal" jeans for a while now.........tired as I am I tried them on this morning and I can get into them comfortably.............so............I'm doing ok!
It was VERY and windy in Texas.......which makes for tough fishing. DH did not do well in the tournament. One of our disabled guys had a heart attack at the boat ramp Sunday morning and the EMT's revived him twice but he passed away on the way to the hospital. It was not the best trip we've ever taken. But, it wasn't the worst either. They were short able-bodies so I was a boat captain Sunday which means I went with a disabled angler who has his own boat (and it just happened that I got paired with a guy who I have been fishing with several times -- the same guy is the company coming here to stay with us next week and he has stayed with us before.........so I was very comfortable with that). On Sunday only the disabled angler fishes in the tournament but no one goes out alone so I was an "observer". He did well and we got to go thru the weigh-in line which was a treat for me because usually I'm working the weigh-in, it was fun to be on the other side for a change.
I have not had time to read thru the threads that I missed while I was away but will try to get to that later today so I can catch up with what's happening with everybody.
I did take a quick glance at the April Challenge thread (ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE IDEA!!) and decided I need to think about that a bit more before I respond to it.
It was so darned cold in Texas that I was so bundled up (fishing on Sunday, I had on.........get this.......long-sleeved t-shirt, long-sleeved denim shirt, sweatshirt, two jackets, gloves, and life-vest. And at one point my partner took off his outer jacket and I put that on, on top of everything else. I was so disguised no one in any of the other boats knew who I was.......the sunglasses and hat helped!!) Anyway no one could tell if I had lost 20 pounds or gained 30!! Oh well.............one thing I did notice.........all this weight-training has paid off in more ways than one. I climbed in and out of boats all weekend when they were up on trailers and it never phased me..........it was easier than it used to be..........I am definitely stronger and more flexible. WHOOO HOOOO!
Good to be back, y'all..............I will check back later!!

Hi, all - Happy April 1st!! Happy Spring!!
I was OP March 29th, not OP March 30th, took yesterday "off" to regroup, and I'm back today, starting fresh!
Nel - you'll have a better day today, I'm sure.
Ann - size 8? Way to go, girl!!! I, too, have a goal of wearing a single digit size - in underwear!!! (Seriously.) LOL! Size 12 jeans would be a major accomplishment for me. Keep living healthy!
OP in 2003!! Remember your April challenge (I'll be posting mine).
~Sue (starting today at 190, goal weight 135 - toying with the idea of a goal weight of 130 )

Good Morning...a quiet April Fool's day so far...
Sue-your size eight has me I never have understood undies sizing anyway...and Nel
Meanwhile - Ann - congratulations on the comfort of your "goal" jeans and ease of jumping in and out of the fishing boats. Sounds like quite a trip for you...must make one so appreciative of each day's "little" things. Did you really believe that all the home renovations would be done?
BSQ - congratulations on your raise...way to go!!! And that your car is going to be well taken care of...hard to think of your poor car that has to have a blanket during the winter on a tow truck!
Shirley - weren't you diagnosed w/shingles a while back?
MizG - what's a PHR?
Tamara - how is the prevacation coordination/packing going?
Melissa - There is a lemon "nutrition" bar out there that I really like...and I think it is a Zone bar (like Desk talks about) However it may be a Luna bar (I like their Chai bar). I have none on hand to verify! I don't like the sweet/choc ones.
Katie - it sounds so logical to be proactive w/Sars. Here we are, a state that borders Canada, and our news media continues to only mention people traveling in China.
Em - how was the gym & "coffee"
Hi Desk, Dawn33, Denise, Traci...anybody heard from Joselle lately?
My day yesterday was OK...had all my water....went to a different curves...I felt like I was in preschool cuz they have their walls painted deep red & lots of neon/bright colors for decorations (my usual one is purple w/lavendar & white roses & florals). I really liked the vibrant feel, plus they have the butt blaster and are open all day M-TH.
I have to go back to the dentist Fri for a filling for a "chip" and find out if I have to have a root canal...and I was just planning on a crown!
Food was HEALTHY until I got home at nine starved (late lunch/had had no supper) and pigged out on a pnj sandwich.
I've rambled on long enough...rest of am must work on my portfolio.

Hi guys -
Just getting ready to go out and walk, it has warmed back up here after a chilly few days. Yesterday I did the "trek" and the wind was blowing against me (of course!) up the last giant hill - I honestly thought I would have to start crawling to make it, but I was not going to stop!
I also got my Prevention magazine weight-lifting video, so I tried that last night. It was deceivingly easy, but I had noodle legs the rest of the night. I liked it because it works all areas fairly quickly and you can still do the same stuff, but work up to higher weights.
Nel - you had me going there for a minute - I'd forgotten it was April Fool's!
Ann - Welcome back! Sounds like you had quite the trip. Of course, I zeroed in on the part where you comfortably wore a size 8! Ever since you told me your weight (my goal weight), little things like that tickle me to death. And I am working hard on building the muscle as I know that is a big part of it, too.
Sue - Love your underwear single digits! Glad you're getting ready for the April challenge!
Bliss - Pre-vacation has been pretty stress-free so far (I'm almost afraid to say that out loud! ) DD's have open-viewing night at dance and youngest DD (10) has invited her little boyfriend to go with us! Big surprise that she would want him as she's so self-concsious, but bigger surprise that a 10-year-old boy would want to go! Young love!
Better get moving before I change my mind! Hope everyone who posts later has a BEST kind of day! Go April challengers!

Hi all,
I never could get into the site last night, and I don't have time right now to do more than tell you today is more OP than yesterday... I am keeping my April goals in mind and am NOT going down the hall for chocolate. Lots of water so far for the past two days.
Sending BEST wishes to everyone!

Today's has been an OP day - yay!!!
Here's a tip I learned from a friend: after listing what you've eaten up until dinner on Fitday.com, put in what you'll be having for dinner and the amounts you think you'll have. Then calculate it for the day. You'll instantly see if you need to reduce or add to the amounts for dinner/evening snack. I just did it and it worked great! You can then highlight the list of foods and print out just that section by using "selection" on your printer pop-up instead of "all pages" and you'll have all the info to measure out your dinner meal/evening snack. What a great tool!
Tamara - what's the name of the Prevention video you used? And what kind of weights do you need to use? Thanks for the info.
Hi to all - see you tomorrow.
~Sue

Hello
HI everyone. Sorry I have not been around. Lets just say it how it is I have been cranky and wallowing in self pity I did get to see the knee specialist. My knees are a mess. 80 year old knees. I have horrible arthritis and will need knee replacements in both knees in my 50's hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I am having the left knee scoped hopefully in July and I will be having injections in both knees. It is like a lubricant that will really help since I have no cartiledge. So all in all I was truly bummed. Also my c-worker and close friend found a lump in her breast. Dr said not cancerous but lets get it out to be sure. She had her lumpectomy last Thursday. Well this coming Friday she has to have a Masectomy and 6 months of chemotherapy. She is devestated and I feel awful for her. I am taking Thursday off work and will take her shopping and to a Womens Breast Cancer support group to get some questions answered. You just never know what is around the corner !
Ann great photos. I love seeing peoples pictures. Your hubby looks so happy. He appears to really love his fishing. But then from what you had told us that should not be a shock sorry it was not the best fishing trip you ever had.
Sue Fitday is a cool tool
Desk I thought it was just me. I could not get on the site last night either.
Tamara. Yeah on the walking and exercise. It feels great doesn't it
Bliss you sound happy and healthy. Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee can I have some of what you got??? hee hee

Eveining ladies! With Monday off I was able to catch up a little bit on my rest, so I have the energy to post tonight.
Opening Day was awesome as always. We got our butts kicked, it was way cold (50 degrees in the sun with 15 MPH winds) I was sitting in the shade shivering and had the you know what scared outta me when 4 fighter jets flew over in formation. I could not see them from my seat so it caught us all off guard. <shudder> not a brilliant idea in this turbulant time. Lots of folks were really frightened. I had a regular sized hotdog and water. Too cold to enjoy a beer ... that and it was $7 !! Still as I sat there shivering, and get hit on by all the guys around me (what a girl at a baseball game by herself???), I thought to myself, any day at the ballpark is better than the office, even without my sweetie there beside me.
I have begun April OP, and am looking forward to meeting my challenges head on. Our installation was rocky, and my team is putting in long hours. I don't get that really. We just sell pants, we don't transplant hearts for goodness sakes.
Got my car back and it is just a mess. I mean mechanically she is fine, cosmetically ... ewwwww the anti freeze splattered all over her, and with the pollen let's just say she's a icky yellow mess.
Okay, suddenly I am sleepy and it's time to call n say good night to my sweetie.
To all: I hope your day went well, and may you have your BEST tomorrow.
