exercise -- how much?

I am almost 4 weeks post op and last night began to walk at the gym - slowly and only did 1 mile. I probably will start radiation in a week or two. Has anyone else exercised through treatments? Did you keep up a regular pace? Just curious. gucu

TAH/BSO, endo cancer, Stage III, radiation and chemo to follow

exercise -- how much?

I began walking 30 my dog minutes a day two weeks after surgery and at 6 weeks graduated to roller blading and riding my bike. i kept this up during chemo except for the days the the side effects hit ( usually 2nd and 3rd day after chemo) I was fit before cancer and I think maintaining at least a minimun level of fitness helped me tolerate the treatments. i know it made me feel better emotionally. I didn't push myself either and I think it is important to listen to both mind and body. Sometimes my mind and body don't agree and I think God put the wrong head on the wrong body, but that's another story and then I compromise
