Exercises????

How about taking a long walk each day? Three weeks after a TAH I was able to walk 3 miles at a time; 2 weeks after a C section I could walk 10 miles. I'd talk to your doc. I don't know about a vaginal hyst but with a TAH it's 6 weeks till you can do situps or other exercise besides walking. With a TVH it's usually a shorter timeframe.

Exercises????

I was talking to a friend just the other day. She's a nurse, btw. She said walking is the only exercise that is a good idea for at least the first 8 weeks, sometimes longer, depending on the individual. The worry, she said, is scar tissue and adhesions may be more likely to form.

Walking is really good for you. And it is safe post op. It seems like you use your abs for almost everything else!!! In the big picture, you wil heal better if you wait to do other things. Ask your DR when they think it will be a good thing to add your other exercises.
