Need help for final HRT balance please.

An intimate question for you regarding orgasm after hyst. I am on andriol 40mg every other day and premarin vaginal cream 2 times per week. I have been feeling almost perfect and things appear to be almost balanced with my sex life. I just have one issue remaining that is somewhat bothersome. I still cannot have an orgasm like I did before my surgery. I will be asking my Dr about this at the next visit, but I was hoping maybe one of you more experienced gals could shed some light. I feel a little awkward asking about this, but it is something quite important, and hopefully I do not offend anyone.

Mary, I am having the same problem and its over a year later. It actually seems harder or impossible to do!! right now i'm trying testosterone gel .2% 2x week, prpgesterone cream daily for 3 weeks a month, estrace 1.5 mg per day, and premarin or estrace cream topically 2x week. I'm trying to give this a few months before I change anything but it is very difficult to cope with. Let me know what else you try. Joeanne

This may not be your case but I am thinking that it may have something to do with not having your uterus and cervix any longer. During an orgasm your uterus would contract and pulsate in much the same way as it would do during a childbirth contraction (only much less). Your cervix would cause some vaginal wall contractions too during an orgasm. Once these are removed so is the feeling or perhaps the waves one used to feel during an orgasm. I think that is why there is a growing trend to try and save the cervix if possible. For many sex and orgasm are better due to being painfree for the first time in years or at all.
I can tell you that testosterone cream has greatly enhanced my sex life to say the least. It has restored my 'want to' and has helped tremendously with lubrication and orgasmic response. Everyone is different though, and what works well for me may not work well for someone else. I guess all we can do is try. I hope that I have helped answer your questions.
