Punctured Bladder

Has anyone had a puctured bladder during their hysterectomy and if so, is this common? What are the procedures for repairing the bladder? If you know anything, please let me know.

Punctured Bladder

Hi Snoopy,

I didn't have my bladder nicked or punctured during surgery, but I've read posts from other women who have. Try doing a search by clicking the Search button at the top of the page, and try using "punctured and nicked bladder" as your keywords and you should come across a bunch of posts.

As far as treatment, I think it mostly has to do with the severity of the wound as to what treatments are necessary. But, as with most things, there are always extenuating circumstances and many variables that factor in.

Best wishes and s

Punctured Bladder

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you are still having problems, however, I am being sent to a urologist because I am having leakage which is worse than having a period (no more thin maxis but poise pads extra).

The urologist will run his test tomorrow 6/23 and hopefully I will get some answers, I will let you guys know soon. And as always thanks for the support.

puntured bladder

Hey- how did ya ever make out at the urologist????

If I let my bladder get "normally" full--my lower stomach and back hurts so much(then spasms when i go to the bathroom) --its like really bad cramps with out the bleeding-- then ,it lingers for the day-- I think I'm off to the doctors again--- I can't take it anymore-
Ya know -when your working --ya can't go pee every ten minutes-
I can't believe two years later -I'm still this uncomfortable!!!
Like the doctor says"at least your not bleeding anymore"

Yeeeeeeaaaaaaaah -lol-I'd like the pain gone too please!!!
