10wks postop bleeding

I hope someone out there can advise me on this one.
Everything has been going along just fine until today when I had to 'P'. I found that I was bleeding, not tons, but enough to warrant a mini pad. I had some spotting around 4 -5 weeks, but not this much.
If I call my Dr., she's very busy and won't be able to get me in for at least a week. I can't go to the hospital to have this checked out because of a SARS outbreak here, they've even postponed heart surgery's or moved them way far away.
Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas what it could be, the blood is pinky in colour.
Thanks for your help.
Loili

When were you released by your ? It might be internal stitches still dissolving or maybe something to do with granulation the ladies talk about. If it gets red or a lot of it, you would need to see a . It must be scarey with SARS happening there. I hope you can get an answer for your problem.

10wks postop bleeding

Hi Lorili

I came on today looking for answers to that exact question! I had a tah/bso Feb 4th. I have had all kinds of post op problems and was even notified Thursday morning that as soon as SARS is resolved that I will require further surgery to repair damage to my bladder and possibly kidney as a result of a post op infection.
I went to the bathroom last night and found that I was bleeding bright red..not a lot but still bright red
I was treated for granulation on April 1..right before they closed all the hospitals, but this is different from all other discharge I have had it has never been more then reddish/pink. Also since Thurs. started to swell more and more to the point that when I stepped on the scale this morning I have gained approx 18 lbs. to me 18 lbs in 3 days seems excessive!
I am not feeling great.
But have the same problem as you do. My Dr. is only allowed to see OB patients due to SARS and he is almost an hr and half away from where I live anyhow, I'm not convinced my family Dr. is the man to see and the local Hospital doesn't seem like a good idea with the SARS issue. I'm worried but with all my other complications I think if I call the Dr. he is going to start thinking I'm a hypocondriac...heck I'm starting to think enough is enough and I should just go back to living in pain like I did before surgery...now it's just a new pain! and now bleeding..I thought I was done with that!
Lorili...if you get any answers let me know!

Thanks
Lisa
