Skin Rash w/Premarin??

I have been on Premarin.625 since surgery 2 weeks ago. I've gotten a skin rash that appears anytime I am in the sun longer than 15 minutes. The rash is similar to hives and is concentrated on arms and chest...

Anyone else out there get such a reaction. My Dr. has switched me to Estrace but said she has never seen it before.

I discovered the same problem last year. I am on premarin .625.
I had an itchy rash but 2 days after I had terrible joint and leg pain. Blood work showed that I had an epstein barr flare up.
So I am not allowed in direct sunlight and have to wear 30 plus sunscreen. Best advice is just stay out of the sun. Any estrogen you take you shouldn't be in the sun long anyway.

I was on Premarin 125 for a few weeks after my BSO in Feb. I had a reaction with hives that worsened in the sun. Also, I would break out in areas of my body that would welt up in itchy bumps then dissappear in about 15 min. then later show up in another area (weird!!) I felt horrible and was switched to Menest.
