I am 37, having a hyst. on May 1st. Endometriosis and grown throught the uterin wall, running rampid. Biopsy looks good! My Dr. is doing the surgery vaginally. I don't even know where to start or what questions to ask any of you. I need to know everything.
Thanks
I found this link very helpful in answering my questions. Welcome to Hystersisters! I have gotten so much help here and I know you will as well This is a link to the hystersisters resources which you can find on the main page as well.
I know that facing surgery is an overwhelming experience...and, you have found a good site here for information and support.
There is a ton of good information on the Pre-op and Post-op Hints---which give you a good idea about questions to ask your Dr. pre-op and what to expect post-op:
i had a vh/b.repair on 20/02 for a prolapsed uterous and bladder.... i have found recovery fairly straight forward.... no pain as such... a little discomfort but that was all..... i was up and around the day after... you have to take it slow ofcourse and i am just getting my energy levels back.. 9 weeks on... the only thing i am struggling to do is cycle... i attempted going out on my tandem with my dh and i now feel rather tender.. i suppose this tells me i am still healing.... i had a spinal and a general... the spinal for pain relief afterwards.... no swelly belly or problems with bm.... maybe i have been lucky.... positive attitude helps i think and listen to what the doctors tell you..... best wishes... mary. xx
