Testosterone? Does progesterone contain some testosterone?

Hi there, I am struggling right now with very little energy,and was thinking about asking my doctor let me try a little testosterone to help with my energy,but I'm not very confident that he will because just for him to write me a prescription for bi-est was like pulling teeth.
It seems like I read somewhere that progesterone might help with the release of testosterone. I anyone has any imput on any on this I would appreciate it. Take care,Barbie

Your body can make testosterone (and estrogen) from progesterone if you have the necessary enzymes. Ladies with their ovaries removed sometimes have a lot of trouble with this, but it does work for some.
