Anyone with the same symptoms
I am having a TAH/BSO on May 12th. I have not had a period since the end of June of 2002. I have an ovarian cyst the size of a golf ball. I have no pain, no symptoms at all. Has anyone else had this and what are your results.
Thanks

cysts
I had large cysts on my ovaries but I had pain when mine ruptured. Alot of people with ovarians cysts cease to have periods. Some of them have what is known as polycystic ovarian disease. Good Luck with your surgery.

I did....
I had that same thing happen, no periods (well, I was anorexic at the time so who knows what really caused the periods to cease). I also had no tremendous pain going on...just felt crampy now and then. When the cyst burst I thought I would die! It hurt soooooo bad. I had a lot of bleeding then, lol!
I had a lap done 3 days later to determine I had stage 4 endo. I was a mess inside.
People don't always have symtpoms. I do have a LOT of pain now. I'm almost thankful for my pain in this last week because it keeps me motivated to go through with the hyster, otherwise I might chicken out, lol

I had no symptoms from my cyst. I was having periods, but bleeding was scant during them.
My only symptoms were from my fibroids and were a continuous cramping that got worse when I was not taking estrogen (I was on BCP to control night sweats).
If it hadn't been for the fibroids, we wouldn't have found the cyst unless it ruptured.

Does your doc know you haven't had a period in that long of time? Mine told him to call him if I didn't have one after 3 months. I'm polycistic and if I didn't have a period for a while, I'd have to have a D&C because the lining of the uterus would get very thick. Don't have to worry about that now. Yeah!
