I Just Took My First Premarin Pill I Need Support!

10DAYS POST OP AND JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH THE NURSE AT MY GYN's office.....she said I am crying at the drop of a hat becasue of the drop in hormones so I decided to go for it and take it......Now I pray for no weight gain hair loss etc I need hugs!!!!!

I started out on Estrace 2mg after two months I switched over to the V-DOT (PATCH) and I love it, so much better and it does not by-pass through the liver...

Yes you will have good days and bad days, I'm still adjuting to all of this...

I have not had Hair loss, I have had weight gain (sorry to say it), my skin is a little dryer..

I think the worst part is over for me, I had very bad headaches for two months while my body adjusted to the HRT, but there gone as of today, THANK GOD...

You will be ok, it takes time, I'm only 43 and somedays I feel 93, but glad I made this choice....

I have been on Premarin .625 since my hysterectomy in June 2002. I have not experienced any weight gain or hair loss. I do exercise and maybe that is why I havent gained weight, am not sure about that. But, no difference in my hair at all. Just wanted you to know..

Hi Wendy!!

I've been on Premarin for most of the 2 and a half years since my hyst. Absolutely no problems with hair loss, and to be honest, I did gain some weight at first but it was only 9 pounds, and then in the last year I've lost 22 pounds..........so I weigh less now than I did when I had my hyst. I do not have any negative side effects from the Premarin .625.

Hang in there. It doesn't get better overnight, but give the Premarin some time, you will hopefully be feeling better soon!!

Don't know how premarin works. I'm on cenestin, it seems to work for me. My hair was falling out before the surgery, by the handfuls. Since I've been taking my hrt, it has stopped. Just the normal one or two hairs. My hair is long too. I haven't had any weight gain either. If anything, I've lost. Just watch for signs to see if it's working.
