Will HRT take away heat flashes ?

I was wondering since I started taking Activella will the heat flashes and night sweats go away for good or will they just not come as often? PLEASE say they will GO AWAY!!!!!!! LOL

Hi Lar if you are taking the correct dosage for your body, the hot flashes should stop... but probably not right away. Hot flashes can be a sign of too little estrogen, but they can also be a sign of hormonal fluctuation. And when you first start a new HRT or change your dosage, your levels will be changing, so you may still have the flashes for a while until things settle down. If they don't go away within a few weeks, though, I would let your DR know in case he/she might want to change your dosage or try a different HRT.
