Feels like I have a tampon in wrong

The dr. can't see or find anything but it feels like I have a tampon in wrong. I am on estardiol 1 mg. and no hot flashes or other symptoms. But it feels like the opening to my vagina is swollen or something but nothing shows up on exam. Strangest feeling! Just wondering if anyone else has this? Thanks to all for your support.

It could be vaginal dryness. Try a lubricant of some sort and see if that helps. I haven't had my hyst yet but was put on medically induced menopause and had the same problem. The DH couldn't even penetrate because it seemed like it was swelled shut. But the gyn assures me it's vaginal dryness and nothing else.

I hate to say this but I felt that - and it turns out I have a rectocele. They don't tend to show up during an exam if you're lying down - my gyn got me to stand and then it was obvious I'm not intending doing anything about it right now - can't face it. I hope that's not what you are feeling.

Feels like I have a tampon in wrong

I had a TVH with rectocele repair and I felt that for awhile. The Dr makes an incision up in the vagina to go to the rectum and cuts muscle there. The body does not like muscle to be cut. It has been the worst part of this surgery for me. I had a hard time sitting for weeks. It does get better though. You described it to a "T". Hope you feel better. There are many other sisters who have gone through this as well.
