Pre-op went well, now questions about bladder sling, tack thing.

Hello Ladies!...

Pre-op went well, Dr answered all my questions and made me feel much better....until.....we chatted about stress incontinance. I need to go back on Monday for a bladder test to see if I will need a sling or tack or ?

What is that bladder test?

How will this effect my recovery?

Will I have to come home with a cath?

How much longer does this make my procedure?

I'm nervous now!

hi sandra..... the bladder tests i had were..... ultra sound, urodynamics and cystoscopy..... these tests show how your bladder is performing... i came home with a catheter but it was not painful just an inconvenience... i took it out myself on day 6... the tests were okay.. my recovery.. vh/b.repair has been good although i still feel like i am healing..... i was in or for three and a half hours but that probably varies... i wish you well and any worries or concerns just post... we are all talking from experience and i believe that helps.. it certainly did for me.... mary. xx
