Sexuality after Surgery

I am 45 years old and have been on the pill since i was 20, mainly to keep my periods ok. In the past 5 years i have started to have bad symptoms during my period - heavy blood loss and cramping and am newly experiencing inter-monthly bleeding. I also have a fibroid on my uterus which may or may not be causing my nocturnal urination (4 times a nite even with DitrolXL 5mg) The thing i am terrified about is losing orgasm sensation. I have read in other web pages that removing the cervix lessens or completely removes all orgasm sensation. It may sound minimal but to me this is very important. Does anyone have any experience with this? Dr is going to try to remove everything vaginally and since i have never had children this frightens me too. My surgery is scheduled July 26, 2003. Any input would be really welcome.

Sexuality after Surgery

First things first, Best wishes with your surgery on July 26th. I am going to be blunt with you here! I am actually having some of the best orgasams now! Sex used to be so painful for me I hated to do it! The pain is gone, and I am having more fun than ever. Also I have NEVER had an orgasam by intercourse itself, untill recently. I can have them either way now! Sooooooo I would say it DEFINATELY made the sex much better!

Love and S
