Testosterone Pellets

I had testosteron pellets implanted on Monday (1/12). How long does it usually take for someone to start to feel the difference?
I know it hasn't been a week yet, but I thought by now I'd feel a little different.

Testosterone Pellets

Personally I do not know about the pellets. I have a friend who had a hyst with ovary removal years ago. The doctor implanted pellets during surgery, 50 mg estrogen and 50 mg testosterone, and she never had one problem. She gets them replaced every 6 months, gets moody around then. I have an appt. with him Jan 26 to talk about it. I am very new to this hormone stuff but have had anxiety and depression since the wacky periods started. Never put 2 and 2 together that it may be hormonal. I'll let you know what he says.

Testosterone Pellets

Thank you Debbie,

I have tried Avilimil with no sucess, so I am anxious but I am trying not to be depressed about it. I am not so new to all this I have been on the vivelle patch (estrogen only) for 2 years and Premarin for a little over 9 months before that. I have never tried testosterone, but with no libido and a happy marriage that has lasted 17 years this far. I thought I would give it a try, also I am only 38 so I didn't want to miss out.

Let me know what you find out.

I have an appt to discuss them with a doctor. He won't implant them until I have given my last mammogram and clear pap smear. Did you also have the estrogen implanted? How are they supposed to work? Does your body only take what it needs? Just wondering what other doctors have said. I am glad it is working for you and hope to have the same results.

Testosterone Pellets

I am doing only the testosterone pellets and the lowest dose. I use the vivell-dot patch (.1mg) I have been on that for 2 years and 2 months. The doctor thought it best not the change that since my body is used to it.

Testosterone Pellets

The pellets are in ...... I had two testosterone and two estrogen pellets inserted. My Dr. said I should see some effects in 7-10 days. My blood tests were a little low on estrogen and very low on testosterone. I am curious what results you noticed first? My hip is a little sore, nothing to much tho. Keep me posted on your progress, I will do the same. Nice to have someone in my same boat!!!
Thanks for replying Debbie.

Testosterone Pellets

I have an appointment on Monday to dicuss them with MD. He is not my regular doctor and I feel a little guilty but I want to explore all my options. I am now on an estrogen holiday at least until my boobs return to normal size and do not get in my way!!! Hopefully that will be in a few days and then can see what the new doc has to say.
Let me know how they are working for you, I think we are a new frontier here.

pellets

i have had pellets before. It takes a good 3 weeks to hit the dosage and reach a noticeable benefit. When you first get pellets implanted the doctors suggest you use other forms of estrogen for a least 4 days.

In my humble opinion. The key to pellets is getting the appropriate ratio.

When the doc only gave me 18 mg estrogen and 125 (2 testo) i was not balanced. My testosterone hit 465 ug. and my estrogen was only 37 lol what a witch i was. but i had sex on the mind for sure.

This last time i have gotten 37.5 of each estrogen and testo to see how that goes. I am trying to escape the water retention the higher dosage gave me. mine were implanted yesterday.
