"Thrill of a Lifetime"

Hi Gals,

I have told a few of you what I have been up too, well here's an update.

I e-mailled the TV show "Thrill of a Lifetime" on the Women's network. My Thrill is to attend a practice, as a goaltender, for the profession lacrosse team, the Toronto Rock. I have played lacrosse in my early teens and started again 3 yrs ago. I also schedule my Hyster around the spring/summer series.

Well, I had my screen test yesterday and they surprised me.
I am going to play with the boys!!! On Tues. Jan. 14/03!
It's at Hamilton's Cobbs Colossium at 9:00 pm. It's going to be a long and exciting night!

I don't know when it airs but, I will keep you inform.

I did talk about my Hyster but, haven't been able to talk about this site, yet. Hopefully on Tues. I will be able to get a plug in and they will air it.

Couters - aka Millie (my Lacrosse nickname)

"Thrill of a Lifetime"

Hi Dany!

Thanks for the wishes!

I went in net and I'm a little stiff and my tummy is a little sore but I have no bruises. It was a great experience and the guys form the team were sweethearts. A nice bunch of boys! I was the oldest player on the floor last night! LOL!

I did well and my Dad and DH were proud of me and it's was great to share the experience with them. My Mom babysat the 3 kidlets and we got back to Toronto around 11:00 pm. We chated and had a few beers before going to bed. DH left for work this morning. He works in Toronto and I left with the kids for Oshawa.
I got DD to school just in time!

They gave me another "Thrill" last night and I am dropping the ball - doing the offical face-off at the next home game, Fri. Jan 24 and the ACC. I am more nervous about facing the crowds at the ACC, then I was having lacrosse balls thrown at me!

The show is filming at the ACC and Rogers Sportnet televises the Rock's home game. The "Thrill" show is going to air in Feb and is the seasons finally.

Dany do you know anyone from Ottawa who could video tape the show for you? We are going to tape it too.

Well thanks for listening and I will keep you informed about the game and filming next Fri.

Take care and s, Couters

"Thrill of a Lifetime"

Hi Dany,

It's funny you mention my Dad. On the way home to Toronto, parents house, Dad didn't say anything about how I played and I didn't ask. I was still very excited. When we got into the house my Mom said, how did she do? My Dad answered Great!
It made it extra special to impress my Dad!

I was just interviewed and photographed by the local paper.
The thrills keep coming! It's fun but, it will be nice to be back into a regular routine and enjoy the programme when it airs and read the artical in the paper.

Hope everything is going well for you. Take care.

((((Couters))))))) That's wonderful. I'll ask my Ottawa friends if they have access to the Women's network and if they can tape the show for me. Hopefully, someone will oblige
