HysterSisters.com reaches 100,000 members

From the Hysterectomy News Articles List

HysterSisters active membership reached 100,000 on October 17, 2006 after more than eight years online. Launched in August of 1998, HysterSisters.com is the largest online community for women providing resources, information and support for medical issues that may lead to a hysterectomy.

HysterSisters.com enjoys the benefits of over 40 volunteers and a handful of employees that manage the growing online community of over 100,000 members. No longer in the owner's extra bedrooms that had been vacated by launched grown children, HysterSisters.com resides in modest offices in Denton, Texas.

Website hardware, housed at a large datacenter in Texas, is managed by a system administration team. Ryan B. meticulously oversee the two servers, Ruby and Ethyl, balancing the hardware needs of the HysterSisters.com website traffic.

The web-developer, Logician, manages the customizations and coding needed to keep this site thriving each day with the spectacular features he brilliantly scripts. The lovely interface was carefully created by Nicholas who makes sure the site is not only beautiful but seamless with the coding.

The office staff: Catherine manages the HysterSisters helpdesk and information email. Twy manages the staff of hostesses. Kate works with communication and marketing issues. Bridget packages each HysterSisters outgoing store merchandise order. Rhonda handles data analysis for our website while protecting the privacy and integrity of the database contents. Kathy Kelley (site creator and owner) juggles many tasks and keeps things together as website manager.

When asked about the success of HysterSisters.com, the owner, Kathy Kelley, points immediately to the loyalty and kindness of the staff, both online and offline, and to the wonderful group of members who visit the website regularly to receive and give support to each other following the theme: Women helping women.

Congratulations HysterSisters.com!
