Menopause, the gateway to aching bones, fuzzy thoughts, and more challenges than you ever dreamed. Just what you always dreamed of! Yes, menopause and growing older are natural, but do they have to be so uncomfortable? And do they have to affect your looks, too?

Aging and menopause aren’t diseases, but they do cause symptoms that you’ll want to treat. While you might not be able to prevent menopause and age comes with every birthday, you can reverse their effects on your body. You don’t have to let age and menopause get the upper hand during this time of your life. You have a lot of living left to do, so take charge so you are up to the task

Signs of Aging & Menopause

Before you know how to combat them, you need to know at least some of what menopause and aging can cause. It’s more than just hot flashes and wrinkles. It’s can also be vaginal dryness, aches and pains, memory loss, brain fog, mood swings, sleep issues, and weight gain. More serious issues can include osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease, skin cancer, dementia, and diabetes.

Lifestyle Plays a Role

There are a lot of factors that come into play regarding which symptoms you will experience. The less healthy of a lifestyle you have followed, the more challenging it can be when age and menopause related symptoms hit. That can also explain one of the reasons why you may not have the same symptoms as family members. Smoking and high stress levels, for example, can worsen symptoms. If you eat well and exercise regularly, you may find at least some symptoms are less intense.

Taking Charge

Besides having a regular exercise routine and eating healthy, there are other positive lifestyle choices you can make to help keep your symptoms in check and minimize risks for the more serious health risks that come with aging and menopause.With every birthday you become closer to menopause. There's no fountain of youth to reverse the aging process and prevent menopause. However, with a bit of effort on your part, you can age well and minimize the effects of both aging and menopause.
