Bowel Prep Question

My doctor had me do an enema the evening before surgery. I also started taking a stool softener when I came out of surgery. All is working well. I had my first bowel movement last night and it was uenventful. Take care.

Thanks for the info! I am printing out the dosage information, etc. from the Salix website as I type this.

I thought I was getting out of having to do a bowel prep since the pre-op appointment at the hospital yesterday didn't give me the orders.

Then the doctor's office called this morning and faxed the "instructions" and what to buy list.

Guess my "last meal" will be tonight... eat lightly tomorrow and to clear liquids and other 'fun' on Sunday.



Oh well,,, This time next week, I'll be laying in bed being pampered, right?...

Betse, I feel for you sister. Bowel prep..no fun. I made sure I ate a good many meals the day before bowel prep because I knew what it would be like the day of. And actually, by evening, I was "cleaned out."
