odd pain... (gross)

Ok.. so I've had the pain before but it's been hanging in there all night and still shootin' strong. I swear it feels like someone is inside of me sticking a knife through my cervix and down the vagina. It's just shooting pain going straight down the area. Any clues?!?!?!?!? I about doubled over at work thanks to this and it's getting old!!!! 30 days and counting... argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this a new pain? If so, maybe you should call your dr and let him/her know about it. Hopefully your dr will have suggestions that can help you cope until your surgery date.

Best wishes, I hope that you feel better soon

You said in another post that you had/have multiple ovarian cysts, right? Was there a sharp pain in your side that precipitated these lower vaginal pains? I have pain similar to your description when I've ruptured a cyst and there's more fluid in the cul-de-sac than my body can comfortably handle ... thus the vaginal cramping and pain.

I agree with jeanus, though ... if this pain is new and you might think about calling your doc!

Is there a possibility that you could be ovulating?? With ovarian cysts that would cause a lot of pain. Once again, I have to agree with Jean and Paula, you should probably get it checked out by your doctor.

And yes, 30 days and counting....wish I could turn the clock ahead LOL.

I've had it a few times before but last night was weird. I haven't had it anymore today. By the time I was heading to bed I had serious pain to the point I didn't want to walk but whatever it was seems to have subsided. ugh.... BEAM IT ALL OUT SCOTTIE!!!!!! sigh

I too experience similar extreme pain. Usually lasting about 6 hours and pain killers are useless. Thank goodness these episodes are bi-monthly when ovulating on left side (ovary almost totally engulfed by cyst). This pain can be so severe that several times I have almost called an ambulance to take me to hospital. I can feel all colour leave my face and I also get the shakes in my hands - even breathing hurts. The pain just disappears, leaving in its wake some residual aches.

Be sure to mention this new symptom to your Dr, especially if it re-occurs within a few days. Can I also suggest that you keep a note of the date and any relevant info to this episode, so that you can monitor and present it to your Dr before your surgery.

Let's hope that you simply do not have another painful episode!
