vaginal sonno hysterogram scheduled tomorrow (my first post)

Well the bad news is I received a deep tissue infection from the sonnogram which caused me to have a total hysterectomy instead of a myoectomy (tumor removed).

It took 9+ days to flush the infection with heavy intra venous antibiotics round the clock. When my temperature stabilized they operated and took out the absess along with everything else including appendix.

It turned out to be better than a vaginal myoectomy (sp?) because my doc found endometriosis even covering my appendix and bowel. I believe that when I heal I will probably feel better than I have in 10+ years having all that endometriosis out of there.

I thank you for being my sisters throughout this ordeal. What a way to spend the holidays. My boys brought me a 2 foot tree and we unwrapped a couple of gifts at the hospital.

I had a sonohysterogram done on wednesday the 19th and I've been bleeding ever since with large clots. I already had my period on the 4th. Did the procedure bring on all this new bleeding? Did this happen to anyone else?

Hi, I had a sono/hyst early November, it did cause some mild bleeding, only lasted a few days... and no clotting either. Maybe better call your doc to be safe. Good luck...
