endo w/bowel problems

Audrey,

I thought I had done so much research on endo, but I realize there is still a lot for me to learn after reading your post! Hopefully I will some day know as much as you do. I want to understand this disease more so that I can maybe prevent this from becoming a problem coming back in the future, after my hyst.

I feel like it just isn't worth it for me to wait and wait and try procedure after procedure just to keep these angry organs inside of me.

I want them out before they kill me!

Thank you for your insight and much needed wisdom. I'm sure this will shed some understanding on this subject for a lot of us.

endo w/bowel problems

I wish I could hurry up and start seeing my doctor again. My bowel problems used to only be a sometimes thing, based around my period, but now it's every day. Combine that with endo, bladder problems, fatigue, and limb/joint pain, and I make for a fairly miserable person. I feel like it's taken almost everything from me.

I want a hyst, but only if it has the best chance of helping me. Of course I'm not going to do a hyst within the next five years because I want to try and have a child.

My mother's side of the family has a history of female problems, so it wasn't suprising that I had problems, too. Other family members have had to have a hyst, and it's totally changed their lives. I'm so envious, but like I said, I will only do it if I *know* it's for me. I need to figure out why I'm having these other problems and whether or not it's related to endo first. I'm totally willing to go through what I need to, even if that does mean icky tests.

It's frustrating, though, because I'm in a lot of pain *now*. It's hard to be told to wait. I can't even get relief from narcotics and anti-inflammatories. It doesn't seem fair because at the end of the day, I'm still sent home in pain.

Thank you meanie and Audrey for your posts.
