I am really scared and excited at the same time

I am 26 and have a TAH scheduled on Feb 6 2006. I have had serveral surgeys but this is the biggest one I have ever had. I have a 6 year old and a 2 year old. The 6 year old knows that I will not be able to do much but I am not sure how the 2 year old will react. We are staying with my parents for a few weeks and that helps because I know the kids will get plenty of attention. I am scared of the what ifs. I am excited because I have hurt since my youngest was born and had two minor surgeys to try to avoid TAH. I know I am being silly and everything will work out I just don't want my kids to think I don't care about them because I will not be able to play with them much for a while

Hi...Please don't worry about the children. They understand much more than we think. Since they will get plenty of love and attention they will not miss you playing with them as much and since you will still be there with them, they get to see you whenever they want to. Kids are wonderful for what ails you in many ways. So, don't worry..:0)
May God bless you and show you His incredible kindness on Monday. I am right behind you on Wednesday! We are going to be Princesses!!

I'll echo FreeDiva--don't worry about the children. They will probably enjoy being able to help (or, in the case of your 2-year-old, "help") Mommy. I work with little ones, and they love to feel useful, especially if it's something out of the ordinary.
