Re: Recovery Progress Reports for Hysterectomy dates Aug 24-Aug 30,2020

Hi all! Its been 3 months today since my surgery. Im glad to see everyone is doing well for the most part. Things have been good.Ive healed fairly well and i thank god. I retained my cervix and ovaries however i still cant over do things. My body lets me know when i have overdone it and my lower sides just throb, does that happen to anyone else? Also i have one bothersome incision that still is very tender. My 1 issue that i have never ever dealt with before having this surgery is breakouts and major sweet cravings. Its only my chin that breaks out for the most part and its so depressing. Has this happened to anyone else? I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving!

My abdomen definitely let me know yesterday that I over did it with the Thanksgiving cooking. Sharp pains on my left side. I have an incision spot that hurts some but at this point hard to know if it was from hysterectomy or from the liposuction I had 2 months after hysterectomy for breast reconstruction.

Yes, this happened to me; however, there was minimal blood. And, so far, that has only happened once.

Did you end up contacting your doctor or just assume it was normal? I txt my doctor but haven’t heard back yet.

Yes, I am also having skin issues, and someone told me the chin is hormonal. I am having the aching you describe after strenuous physical activity, or just too much. I went through a couple of really good weeks but the aching is actually moreso now!

Also still quite a bit of bladder pain, and definitely bladder spasms at the end of urinating.

Hey everyone!

It’s been 4 months now!
I kept one ovary.
I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced menopause symptoms? I feel like I’m having hot flashes. I have always been so cold!
I’m wondering if my one ovary is failing?

Anyone experience this?

I kept both ovaries, have also always been cold, and I feel like I've completely changed. Now, I'm hot at random times and my husband is the one that's cold. So weird. I wasn't expecting that.

Hi Ladies,

Weird question but I was using the ladies room and I felt up towards where my vaginal cuff closure would be inside and on one side it felt like a flap of skin that felt different and really sensitive. Anyone else experienced it? I’m not actually worried about a tear but my mind goes to crazy places.

Hello,

I have been struggling since my surgery with yeasts! After surgery I had to go back to the hospital due to cuff cellulitis where I likely picked up candida glabrata. I tried treating this under my pcp’s direction with fluconazole for a few months until I got frustrated and asked my gyno to do a swab. I finally got boric acid suppositories and this seemed to clear it up. In about June or July. I started to get more yeasties in November and had my pcp do a swab. They said I had both bv (strain not identified) and non-glabrata yeast. I did five days of treatment with micronidazole and then fluconazole and then a few days with boric acid. I had a pretty enthusiastic hot flash last week and Now I am back to the symptoms of a yeast infection, but substantially worse. Anyone else experienced this kinda mid grade hell after their surgery? I feel like I am still dealing with things before my surgery only slightly less pain.
