Uterine Pain, constant aches

I posted my first post earlier today and got some great feedback and support. I thought I'd better ask some more direct questions as I'm still making my big decision.

Has anyone else had a uterus that is very sensitive to any touch? I'm not sure if mine is enlarged, just very painful if touched - whether during intercourse or by my Gyn. It starts to contract and hemorage a little. I bleed to varying degrees after each intercourse. Thus said I have underwent very little testing to figure out exactly what I have, my Dr just agrees the only way to stop the pain is to have my uterus removed.

I spot/bleed for long periods of time, but is always "manageable" and doesn't stress me too much other than having no desire to have sex with my husband while even spotting.

In addition to my uterus hurting when directly touched, I also have a ache right at my pubic bone that keeps me from wanting to do much. It usually starts to hurt after physical activity or even lots of walking. I've also recently started having a sharp pain and ache in my lower right abdomen. The Dr recently tried to do a vag ultrasound, but it put me through the roof if she even gently touched my uterus or cervix.

Also, I seem to feel more pain and discomfort when I am feeling more hormonal/depressed/anxiety. Is this normal or am I imagining the change in intensity?

Any help would be great, I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet, but my Gyn thinks that there has got to be something really wrong and that I shouldn't have to live like this. If I want more tests that's fine, but she really thinks in the end the only way I'm going to feel better is to have my uterus and cervix removed. I am only 28 and have gone to my OBGYN for the last 6-7 years. She knows me, my family, and sees most of my closest friends now too. We are very candid with eachother but it's still such a scary decision to have to make.

You may want to consider having further testing done to confirm the source of your symptoms. I think it's important to identify the condition before undergoing surgery. It's part of making an informed choice and determining appropriate treatment options. I personally wouldn't feel comfortable proceeding with a surgery for an undiagnosed condition. There are ways to take the edge off the pain so that further testing can be done. You could discuss that with your doctor. I would also recommend seeking a second opinion.
