checking in

I am sorry but i along with many of you can only check in occassionally. I am feeling absolutely great! Went to the dr. this week and gained 10lbs since last years checkup. She is running a full blood panel as my Mom and Grandma both had thyroid problems...graves disease and hypo. i am exercising like crazy, but have been eatinbg like crazy too.

My girlfriend is on her 8th round of chemo. Last scan showed no new growth!!!!! She actually is someone that you would never know by looking at her that she ever went through what she did!

Another girlfiend had 2 strokes this week so we can add he to the list of your thoughts and prayers. She is 40 years old, fitness/yoga instructor who had a tear in her vertebral artery. She is a very strong woman and her good health is keeping her alive.

It is bitter cold here today!!! It is -15 degrees without the windchill. And i am scheduled to work the Green Bay Packer playoff game tomorrow! My family will be in the stadium... i am parking cars so I can bug home and be nice and warm after I freeze!!!!! GO PACK GO!

i hope all is well with everyone here!
Hugs from,
Simplyme

Ladies,
I am going to get this site rocking again. Once u guys c the emails, u will respond.

Last thurs, I had a bunch of blood drawn for kidney, liver, thyroid, blood count and 1 more. (I'll tell you when I remember). I should get the results by Tuesday if not before. My G.I. is testing me for all of this. Remember, I told you guys a couple of mths ago that I didn't want to get HIM started. I am also schedule for a endoscopy in a couple of wks. I just always had a sensitive tummy anyway before all of this. Having a period just made it worst.

Simply,
That is great that you are feeling so well and your g-friend too. I hope you enjoy the game this evening. However, I am huge Giants fan (even though I don't watch). My son and dad LOVE the Giants, so I rooting for them.
GO GIANTS...........

Well as for me I am a huge Patriots fan. I am originally from Massachusetts, I lived there for 35 years. My family still lives in New England area just dispersed all around. So I was very very happy to watch the patriots get to the super bowl for feb. 3rd. Anyways my new job is going good. I make rakes and snow shovels and they also do all lawn and garden tools, wheelbarrells. I like second shift I can actually sleep 7-8 hours when i get home. Since i don't fall asleep until around 2 am i can sleep until at least 9 am. Cuz i always had trouble sleeping at night usually up every hour on the hour. But now i know what sleep feels like. ha ha I'm so glad to hear from all you ladies still, if everybody keeps writing so will I. Have a great day ladies.

Jennice, please update when you find out on the tests. Wow your doc does put you through the ringer... I'll be thinking about you and praying that everything turns out fine.

Law I am so happy that this new job is working out good for you. I think I was born for the 2nd shift too. But with my change of job it is actually working out good too. I use to alternate night and day shifts. Now I am just working days and starting to get more regular for the wake and sleep cycle. Maybe at some point I'll get off sleep meds. That would be nice

Hi everyone! I'm so happy to see everyone posting again Hey there Jennice! Well I am on my 6th patch so that means its my 6th week on hrt. no more night sweats, no more insomnia, no more headaches and barely any aches and pains.....sometimes my left side still hurts at night, I feel the twinges and I sometimes pray that it isnt endo returning. So all in all, things are looking up for me thank God. It was about time right? New dilemna however-----my belly is huge, i mean swollen huge!!! I feel really bloated. I am starting weight watchers at work next week but this big ole belly thing doesnt really feel like its all weight gain related. anyone else feeling bloated ?????

Phil,
Yes, yes. I am soooooooooo bloated. My belly is huge. That is y I am taking these precautions. I sitll have that 1 ovary and sometimes that scares me. My lab results came back normal for kidney, liver, thyroid, electrolytes and my blood count is just a little low. I have constipation sometimes and stomach cramps occasionally. I just worry about the bloating.

Hi everyone,

Just a note on this, keep a food journal to see if what you are eating is causing the bloating. Bloating can be caused by digestion problems. Check out Google on digestion problems. There are enzymes caplets you can take with meals or certain foods to avoid to ensure a proper digestion and avoid bloating. Also I know I keep saying it but probiotics are the key to proper digestion and bathroom habits! GOOD LUCK!

Hi, nice to catch up on everyone! Seems so long ago now since we were all posting daily. I do miss it sometimes.
My husband is a huge American football fan and stayed up all night here in Bahrain to watch the games. Go Giants!
I can relate to the bloat and the tenderness and pulled myself badly 2 weeks ago on the trunk of the car and have had problems since, I thought 6 months down the line all would be ok but obviously not!

Take care everyone and great to hear from you all
