Smile - Name that Aussie!!! Name that Aussie!!!

Today we are blessed with a six week old Australian Shepherd boy!! He is a blue merle with one blue and one brown eye. I'll post a pic as soon as I unload the camera.

On the way home, he cried so loud he was snorting like a pig! I thought "Wilbur"!! from Charlotte's Web...

We had toyed with Mick, Lucky...that's as far as we got. Ironically the owners have a dog names "mick" and one named "lucky". What a hoot! Would like something Australian...but haven't researched it yet.

He's incredibly lovable...a cuddler. Was one of the "quiet" puppies...but I think he'll be a chewer. And, he keeps trying to CLIMB things...the ottoman, the walls!! My sheltie never did that!

Let me know with post or pm if you have any name suggestions!!

Name that Aussie!!!

Maybe stick with the first thing that came to you!
But if not, here are some "Aussie" flavoured names:

Butch ( a male thing they have here..........)

Bruce (typically Australian)

Tim Tam ( a very yummy chocolate biscuit, aussie through and through)

Vegemite ( say no more.......!!)

Louie ( we have a very successful advert here for fly spray the main dude is Louie the Fly, it's years old and very catchy)

Have to agree with the others -

Bruce, Butch or Blue would be mine. Bosco. (Why all B's???)
Samson.

Just remember you will need to call him in public and thousands of times so dont make it too complex.

Have fun!

Name that Aussie!!!

Cool... my daughter just lost a fish named blue...so that one is out. I also thought about Sydney...

Our cat is named Mimi. Was hoping for something with an "M" but all I could think of was "Melbourne". "Mel?" Funny name for a dog. Bruce is hysterical here in the states. I love giving dogs real "men" names. Tim Tam is really cute... I will add these to the list and take it up with the family council!!

Thank you

Name that Aussie!!!

M he?

How about Mollie (this is actually the name of a 'famous' male Music afficionado in Oz land) that would make your dog a true Oz dog and would confuse the h*&& out of the neighbours! I think he's gay though, whatever.

Max, Mikey, Moomba, um.....

I like Mollie... this pup's definitely very macho, though.

Liked Sydney, Mick, Max, Mikey, Moomba and Sampson alot! Someone else said David Bowie has two different color eyes as well...Bowie? Or, we could just call him chompers...all he wants to do is BITE and NIP at our pantlegs! I'm exhausted from being up all night!

Thanks for your suggestions!!
