I am not looking for Hysterectomy books, but books that will make me laugh, so I can keep my mind occupied.
Any ideas would be great thanks!!!

Our book club recently read "Can You Keep a Secret?" by Sophie Kinsella. It was hilarious and very entertaining. Right now I am reading "Skinny Dip" and it is also light hearted and funny. I'm with you, something funny and easy to read during recovery is what I want too so I will be watching your replies as well. Good luck the 19th.

hi

I heard The Wedding was a good book, the sequal to The Notebook.

I love all the Nicholas Sparks books. I also enjoyed Billie Letts' book, "Where the Heart Is" (it came out about 10 years ago as an Oprah book club book, but I missed it). And I read "The Nanny Diaries" (very interesting), "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (fun if you tend to shop a lot) and a couple of Diana (Princess) books.

Another book I read that came out about 12 years ago and is very well written is "Autobiography of a Facte" by Lucy Grealy.

If you like mystery at all, any of the Janet Evanovich books are light, easily read during recovery and very funny.

I made an error above--the last book was "Autobiography of a Face" (not Facte). Except for this and the Diana books, all the others were light reading, enjoyable without requiring a lot of concentration.

I am a BIG fan of Janet's! the problem is that one made me laugh too hard after my Laparoscopy! Didn't do any damage, but I had to take a break from the book for an hour or so! LOL I love her books. If you read them, start with "One for the Money" They are all numbered, so it's easy to figure out where to start.

If you want to laugh, you've got to read So, Stick a Geranium in Your Hat and Be Happy by Barbara Johnson. Also, Skipping Christmas is hilarious.

Janet Evanovich! She has a series starting with one and going to twelve. They are about a girl bounty hunter and they are hilarious!
