The Chronicles of Narnia

Hi Ladies,

I saw the preview for the Chronicles of Narnia - looks like it's going to be a good movie! It's due for release in December.

I'm hoping they'll go ahead and make all of the books into a movie. That would be so cool!

Anyway, just wanted to let you know that it's on its way.

s,

Lisa

Shashi --

I loved the Narnia books, and I have been following the news about the film on my Yahoo! tracker. Sure hope they don't make a "dog's breakfast" of it.

I'm cautious about coming attractions and trailers though -- they always make the film look good.

Hey!

I downloaded the trailer,too...it does look absolutley amazing...the sets are fab! I think Tilda Swinton will make such an evil white witch! Inspired casting.

It's out in december...far too long to wait! I've bought the books for my baby son. He's only 6 months old, but I can't wait till he's old enough to enjoy them!

Yes, Tilda Swinton has a cold beauty which will be perfect. She's also a brilliant actor, did you see her in Orlando?

Well, of course it will be coming out in December, I mean it does feature the return of Christmas.

As for your son enjoying the Chronicles -- it might be a while yet! (that's a laugh with love!)

December release....think it is more to do with being the 'big holiday' attraction...perfect timing as everyone on holidays...more box office profit!

Loved 'Orlando' Tilda really captured the androgny beautifully and with a quiet compassion. She's very underated.

The Chronicles of Narnia

When I watched a preview on a movie the other night, they mentioned the first of the series to be made, they made it sound like they were going to do the entire series, which I think will be great, if they can do the books justice.

Question, does anyone think my 6 year old is too young for me to read these to her. I read them around 7 but I read at an advanced level, so am I kind of cautious right now. Any advice?

I think the scene on the stone table is far, far too intense for a six year old, and even a seven year old, IMHO.

I'd say to wait until she understands more of the act it represents.

I just re-read "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" for the hundredth time. I plan to read the whole series again. Love those books and can't wait for the movie!
