Smile - What odd or quirky names do your pets have? What odd or quirky names do your pets have?

My oldest dog is named True but he usually gets called Beeks.

Graci, my little girl, is frequently called Bumper Jack or Bumps.

I don't know how they got these names but, frankly, they answer to about anything and, for some odd reason, always know which one of them I'm calling!

What odd or quirky names do your pets have?

Oh boy. Here we go. I have 2 cockatiels named Ceaser and Babybird. Ceaser is a female. LOL We didn't know what she was when we got her. Thought she was male. Babybird is just this cute little babybird. LOL he is 12yrs old now. LOL

We had a cat name Bartles. Remember the Bartles and James wine coolers? We called him Bart for short. When we got a female cat we named her Jane. So we had Bartles and Jane.

What odd or quirky names do your pets have?

We've got three dogs and a cat now - we had two cats, but the one not pictured in my avatar, Bear (short for Saint Bearnard), passed away last month at age 16.

My avatar kitty's name is Rusty Scooper. Rusty because of his color; Scooper is a play on two things - one, the Rusty Scupper restaurant chain; and two, the fact that when I first saw him, he was sitting in his mom's owner's lap, scooping cheerios out of her bowl with his paw. Rusty is also 16 now.

I have a six year old pit mix named Beau; a two year old APBT (American Pit Bull Terrier) named Ruby (same as Hystersisters' server ); and we just recently rescued a one year old American Hairless Terrier we've named Dobby, because of the resemblance between him and the house-elf in the Harry Potter series.

What odd or quirky names do your pets have?

When I married DH he came with 2 cats: Patch, who I call "evil beastie" because she just has that look in her eyes; and her brother Mogwai (hence my screen name), name so because DH said that he looked like the gremlin from the movies. I call him Moggy because he seems to respond to it better. We also have one of Patch's only litter; we named him Morris because he looks a lot like the cat from the commercials, but we call him "Hoover" because he sucks up food like a vacuum cleaner.

Emma (my little poochie pup) is called Emma Lou Magoo. Not sure how it got started, but we start singing it to the Scooby doo theme song (Emma Lou Magoo, where are you...)

What odd or quirky names do your pets have?

I foster for sheltie rescue & one of my favorites was 10 yr old "Zipper"
Don't know why his original owners named him that ... but he quickly became nicknamed "Mr. Zippy-Doo". Our group has enjoyed finding forever homes for "Hermie" , "Zena", "Hamlet", "Gizmo", "Jack-Frito-Lay", "Stuart Little" to name a few

What odd or quirky names do your pets have?

When my DD was small we got a puppy that we named "Touch-it". Every time she got near him, that's what she said, so that became his name
We had and loved Touch-it for over 10 years.
