Post Op Valentines celebrations

So, for those of you who are still in the recovery phase (or were over Valentine's Day in the past) how are you(or did you) celebrating?

I haven't decided on what I want to do. I am three weeks post op TAH/BSO. I am still very tender in my belly. I do know my hubby is making me Chicken Alfredo. But other than that I have no clue.

We will be doing much of nothing. I might see if my dh is going to order us a heart shaped pizza or not( its an old joke of ours.) I really do not want to do much of anything.

My fiance gave me a card and a teddybear holding an I LOVE YOU balloon today...I was having a bad day so he gave it to me early to cheer me up.

Tomorrow, we are going out to dinner at our favorite restaurant and going to see a movie. We are making concessions because of me being 2 1/2 wks post op.....we're going to dinner around 3:00 to avoid the crowds and taking in a matinee to avoid the crowds.

We have decided to postpone our Vday dinner. My husband's birthday is next Sat so we won't be doing anything then either!

He is going back to work today for the first time since my surgery. He promised me that we would make up for both things in a few weeks when I am more up to it!

It kinda sucks to to laid up on the most romantic holiday. Oh well, it is only another day

Happy Valentines All!!! We decided to go out for an early dinner yesterday to beat the crowds today and just relax with some dvd's today.....

I'm 4 weeks post op, I had an SAH, so I'm still a little sore, and I didn't want to go out, but after we got out, it was nice, I was happy we did and it really brought my spirit up.

No matter how you spend it, I hope you all have a wonderful day and give that special person a hug....

xoxo to all!
