home from pre opp testing

well that was not so bad i had blood work a month before i even had this date for hys set up so i was good for the blood work and seeing as i am only37 i did not have to have a ekg i also did not need urian test or
x -rays so that was good
the nurse took me into a room like an office and then asked me if i had any children i said yes one natural birth and one c-section the first is 20 years old and the other is 14 both girls
then she asked about anyother surgerys i had i told her about the lapscopy surg a few months ago the gal bladder surg and the tubal and then she asked how i did with them after like comeing out of anastecs (sp you knwo what i mean lol)
asked if i was allergic to anything
and when i was in pain what did i take i told her that when i take tyenole 3 it gives me this really heavy feelign in my chest and daulited did not do too much for me for the pain at all it really did not take it away or lessen it
then she gave me a few papers and went over them with me the one is the prep for the day before
here is what it says
1 nothing to eat or drink or smoke after midnight
2 the day before surg take 2 dulcolax tab at noon this is just to clean out the bowel
3 give your self a fleet enema by 6 pm the eve before the surg
4 insert one betadine vaginal suppository at bedtime the night before this is to sanitise the viginal area and insides to reduce the risk of infection
5 shave your pubic area not completely just when you lie down and have your legs cloesed you can not see any hair
and that is it
now i dont like the idea of that stool softener cause i just look at a bran muffin and i have the poops lol
she said seeing as the surg is close to the bowel the surgen wants it to be really cleaned out
i can not eat anything execpt broth type soups and very light meals and plenty of water the day before the surg

oh i found out that i do have to have a c section cut and that the dr will be takeing of course the uturus and the top part of the cervix that makes me feel a bit better
but my nurves are still pritty shot and my mother in law and sister in law are super non supportive they keep saying thousands of women have this done and you have nothing to worry about in a sarcastic way i love them both but loardy i need more a loving manner than that good grief

all i can say girls is that the pre opp testing is really nothing to be afraid of or nurved up about at all
answering all these questions just help the staff give you the best care they can
good luck to you all
love joice
