Natural remedies for healing post op?

Has anyone had hydro-colon therapy after hysterectomy? How soon after sx is it safe? I’m stocking up on rescue remedy and adrenal support, but does anyone recommend anything else to support my body in healing?

I'd clear anything you want to try after surgery with your surgeon first. Just in case something will add unnecessary pressure or minerals for your body to filter out while its trying to heal.

Definitely talk to your doctor about this and ask him or her when it is safe. Also, clear home remedies, herbs, and other items of this nature with your doctor as well. They are doing lots of work in there, and you do not want to endanger your healing.

I'm taking black cohash & vitamin e for hot flashes/night sweats, adrenal support, weekly b-12 shots, multi vitamin, fish oil, vitamin C & DHEA. This is all prescribed by integrative dr with monthly blood work & salva test every couple of months. I saw a integrative dr 2 weeks after surgery & started most of these vitamins. Make sure you tell your dr everything your taking. I was told to stop taking the fish oil 2 weeks before surgery.

As stated in previous posts always check with you Dr's. My post op plan includes an adrenal support a liver support and Boswellia (for inflammation ) and arnica (for healing bruising etc) and phosphor ( for brain fog) B12 shots (simply b/c I am very low) as well a healthy diet - prune juice daily b/c constipation is so bad with the meds (fibre for me made it worse) protien smoothie with spiralina and emergen C. All this was cleared with Drs.

I use all natural aromatherapy products on my skin. Lemongrass soap is great for the sweats, It is also an anti-inflammatory, I have chronic neck and upper back pain and find the arnica lotion with lemongrass and peppermint helps with tense muscles. I am sure something else will be tense post op. I use a blend of naroli,frankinscence, geranium, and ylang-ylang in grapeseed oil helps lift my spirits, It is a 'happy scent'. Lavendar helps with relaxation. If you have a natural food store they will have some of these products, or you can find an aromatherapy shop. Use you nose to find what works for you

Extra protein, I don't usually eat many eggs, but the weeks right after surgery I wanted egg salad sandwich almost every day.
