Moncherie972's daVinci Robotic Hysterectomy Story

daVinci Robotic Hysterectomy
Age at Surgery 46
Location: Newburgh NY

I had to have it due to pre cancers cells prior, severe hemorrhagic issues. I've been battling this for years and putting it off. I trust my OBGYN completely and we tried other procedures first.

The pre op and post op went very well, however when I got moved to the floor it was awful. My pain was not managed. I stayed one night in the hospital and thankfully my husband stayed too.

I didnt have much help at home. I am a nurse so I'm not the best patient either. I was terrified of blood clots. I was very worried and still am about my weight, my feelings of inadequacy as a woman.
I went back to work after 8 weeks. My surgery was June 27th I am still very tired. Menopause is kicking in..

My health is better No more bleeding. However I'm still very tired. I'm very emotional as well.

I would say ask for help, have trust in your doctor, pack approximately for hospital. Join a support group!! Listen to your body!!!
