I too had the post op nausea. I think mine was coming from the morphine pump I had. Since I was vomitting, I couldn't take any oral med so for a while I quit using the pump, layed very still and quit throwing up so I could take a vicadin. That helped a lot. After that it was smooth sailing.

I'm glad your home - now take it easy! I think I will too!!

Valarie, I am so glad that it is over for you. Please REST.REST.REST.... I have mine on Mon. I get nauseous jsut riding down the road. Surgery is always a challenge, but I think I found a cure for me when I had my sinus surgery. They give me Pepcid and Reglan before surgery and put something like Phenagran in my IV. NO NAUSEA afterwards. It was great!Take care and say a prayer for me on Mon. Tomorrow is my b-day so hubby is taking me out tonight so I will rest tomorrow.. Remember REST..REST..REST.. Thinking of you Rhonda

so glad you're home safe

Valerie,
Thanks so much for checking in. Sorry about the nausea and all...I am very impressed with your strength to be able to think, first of all, about how to make things better and then to act when you must have been so uncomfortable. Sure glad the vicodin worked for you then...whew.

Watch out for the Pillow Police...rest and drink your fluids and rest some more!
