Stressed out by pressure to return to work quickly after surgery......

i sympathize with your plight. previous injuries on the job they always seemed to rush me back even tho my job was very high conflict and restraints. now my problem is the complete opposite. my job closed on july 31, offering only 1 month of cobra. i worked there 14 yrs. i now have to begin the impossible task of finding a new job in a tight field. but i decided that i was going to do this anyway and worry later. hopefully i recover quickly.

dont let them rush u, have the doctor put u on limited return to work if necessary or light duty (which actually kept me out of work-- we had no light duty)

I want to Thank you all soooooo much! I feel much better with all of your support! I am seeing my doctor on the 15th and will clearly explain the situation. Best thing is to pay no mind to those who would try to pressure you. I know it's easier said than done, but you do what's best for you. Remember YOU are number one here.

I want to thank everyone who gave me their feedback on my issue with pressure about returning to work. Thanks to all of the support I was able to pull myself up from a train wreck of emotions into someone back in control of my life and feeling worlds better. I discussed the pressure I was under with some office personnel and got great support from them. I also got my schedule cut back to only a couple of days a week on shift to help me get through my last two weeks working. Thank you so very much for the strength you all lent me.
