5/13 surgery, 1 week update

Well, what a fast week it has been. I can't believe it is all over.
So far, I feel much better than I thought I would at this point. I am still resting a lot, drinking a ton of water and so far, no swelly belly. I'm only taking 1 pain pill and it is at night to ensure sleep. I am not used to sleeping on my back so sleep has been uncomfortable for me and I got a crick in my neck from it. It still hurts to try to sleep on my side. I am still faithfully wearing my tummy binder. It did not hurt when Dr. took 13 staples out Friday. I go back 5/28 for post op.
For those of you who are LIW, it goes by so fast once you are at the hospital. Don't worry about hunger pain, nerves took care of that for me. I am a high strung nervous person and I made it thanks to all the support here on hystersisters.
Best wishes to everyone.

Hi Susan. Welcome Home and big to you.

Glad you are doing well. Yes the time flies by doesn't it. My whole recovery period went by very quickly. I can't believe I am 3 months post this week! And feeling great I might add.

Perhaps you will be able to sleep on your side in another week or two. I am a tummy sleeper so I do understand. I just kept inching over a little at a time. Finally started sleeping comfortably on my side with lot's of pillows. Made it back to my tummy around 6 weeks or so.

Take it easy and remember all your training.

Thanks for posting.
